With the success of the "Disney's Hollywood Studios 30th" wallpaper, I decided to create a series for all domestic Disney theme parks.  Epcot would be my next subject.

In order to establish each work as its own, I selected a rich violet to replace the deep sapphire of the background in the previous wallpaper.  From there, the colors pretty much chose themselves. Like the Hollywood Studios wallpaper, I chose to stick with a stylized "standing outside and looking in" layout.  In the foreground, we see the futuristic architecture of the entrance.  Two monorail beams travel into the park... though in order to make the pavilions visible to the viewer, I had to make them "monorails to nowhere".
Speaking of the future, a few of the Future World pavilions are represented as they appeared in 1992, which was my first visit to the park.  If you look closely, you'll find nods to World of Motion, Horizons, and CommuniCore in this piece.  You'll also find classics like Journey Into Imagination and The Land. Beyond CommuniCore, you'll find the silhouette of World Showcase.  Many of the international pavilions are represented... Germany, Italy, Japan, and Morocco can all be seen.  Radiating from World Showcase, I employed spotlights similar to the ones I used in the Hollywood Studios piece to link the two different works of art together visually.

As my time with Disney came to an end due to COVID-19 in 2020, I was unable to continue with this series.  Someday, if I return to the Disney Parks Blog as a contributing artist, I would like to finish out at least the Walt Disney World parks
